Great British Summer is here

Hello bloggers,
Well it looks like the great British summer is finally here, and  how great it is to see the sun. Although I must say it has been very very hot at work.

All is well with Maison Daisy, I have been trying out some table runners that match the napkins and I will start selling them soon, I'm really pleased with them.

I have started knitting dishcloths too, yes me Mrs impatience is knitting, I have to say its taking every ounce of concentration in the evenings, I have a fab friend Lovely Olive who is an expert knitter and making some for me too, Olive can do two in one evening, I can do one in a week.

I have a couple of new designs for the napkins which if they sell well, I may add to my always in stock designs.

I have had the most horrendous toothache, as people who know me will know I DO NOT LIKE DENTISTS,  however after calling A&E at 3am one morning I knew I was going to have to visit the dentist, the result being a abscess in my gum, ouch, I have to say it is the most pain I have ever felt in my life, he put me on some antibiotics and said keep taking the pain killers and we will see you next week to remove the tooth, well that was last Tuesday, so it will be a week tomorrow, I cannot wait to go back to the dentist to get this tooth removed, that tells you how much pain I am still in.
Apologies to Mr P who has had to put up with me being very grumpy indeed.

The garden is looking very Britshly gorgeous, it seems overnight the flowers have emerged from their sleep, the fruit trees are getting leaves.

Mr P bought me this David Austin rose many years ago and it has moved around with me, it is one of my favourite treasures.  Hurry up runner beans we want to eat you!

We have blue tits nesting in out box we think there are three babies, we have been sitting outside watching the parents feeding every minute or so, sooo sweet, sorry not a good picture as I  didn't want to get too close and disturb them.

A couple of Sundays ago, we went down to the old airfield strip at Westonzoyland to watch mad bikes.  It was great, there were some drag bikes but you could just ride up and take your road bike down the strip.  Some very fast lap times.

So thats all the news from our house, hope you all have a wonderful week, and just a quick Congratulations to Erin and Alderney for their cycling at Goodwood (southdown velo cycling club) at the weekend, GO TEAM BAKER.

Where is the time going

Hello all, how are you today? Well no rain today what a welcome surprise, I don't know about all my friends in blogging land but I am really fed up with the rain.

Well Maison Daisy has been so busy of late, I don't know where the time has gone.  As I mentioned in my last post, my napkins were now in a local shop, and doing so well I had to re stock them up with some more today, I am overwhelmed with all the lovely things customers have been saying about them.  I also have some exciting news with the napkins coming soon, watch this space.

A couple of weeks ago it was my lovely niece's 16th Birthday, sweet 16, and how she has grown into a gorgeous young lady, well most of the time, we went down to Sussex to see her for her special day and to catch up with family.  I made her a cake which I have to say turned out rather good.  I impressed myself.

It was great to see my sister in law also and my little bro, A while ago my sister in law and I were talking about paint and I sent her some ASCP as I cant express enough how great this paint is.  Well have a look at the picture hasn't she done a great job, and I think she has got the bug now, Well done Paula.

Last weekend we had some good friends come to stay, what a great time we had, even though I had to work a couple of the days, it was so good to see them all again, and what fun the kids were, its all been a bit quiet since they went back.
Mr P and I have a few days off this weekend, nothing planned just a relax and a catch up, we have been so busy of late.

I have not put any napkins on ebay lately, simply not had any spare or the time, but if you do see any on here that you like please just drop me a email and don't forget the postage in the UK is free, and I can pop them I'm the post to you.

Oh my big bargain of this month is some patio fruit trees I have purchased, yes ok I will confess I bought them from the shopping channel one morning when, with strong coffee and a crumpet I was trying to awake, convincing myself I was not tired and I was going to get through the day with just one coffee, well what a bargain they were, they came bare rooted with the pot all ready to be planted up, they have been grafted so should fruit this year, already I have blossom and leaves, and they shouldn't get any higher than 7ft.  I have apple, pear, plum and cherry, when the weather is better I will take some photos for you all. Lots of jam for the winter months.
So I think that is all my news of late.
Take care
